Hey all!
Graduate of 2007 saying hello from Annapolis!
I'm currently a youngster (sophomore) at the US Naval Academy, majoring in Naval Architecture, and doing a lot of offshore sailing!
For you current team-members: Get everything you can out of Robotics, you'll learn a LOT of cool (and useful) stuff.
Contact me at debbinkm [at] gmail.com for one or more of the following reasons:
1)You want me to design you a boat
2)You want to talk to a grad that goes to a real school
3)You happen to be out here for the FIRST Chesapeake Regional (held at the Academy, 19-21MAR)
4)You just wanna say "hey!"
Another thing robotics-related: the Naval Academy is a part of an autonomous sailboat competition called SailBot. Really cool project that is a joint effort between the Naval Architect and Systems Engineering majors. Click here to go to the Naval Academy's Sailbot site. There's a couple of videos at the bottom of the page.
Ok well I think I've procrastinated from my homework long enough....
Good luck with everything this season!
Go Navy, Beat Army!
